Phnom Penh

Situated on the banks of the Mekong River where its branches converge (Mekong, Tonle Sap and Bassac), Phnom Penh is the capital city of Cambodia with a population of approximately one million people. The city still retains the colonial charm of French-styled buildings and tree-lined boulevards with towering traditional Khmer monuments. The recent political changes have encouraged an economic boom, with new hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs springing up all over the city. The roads are filled with mostly motorbicycles, pedicabs and cars.

Siem Reap

Siem Reap is home to the most fabulous monuments ever built by mankind including Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom. It is a must-see destination for all visitors to Cambodia. Angkor is one of the greatest Buddhist sites in South East Asia if not in all of Asia. Surrounded by man-made lakes, this tranquil and movingly beautiful place is the setting for some of the most impressive monuments mankind has ever made. Today the celebrated temples of Angkor are Cambodia’s greatest tourist attraction.
